The WODC continuously researches the effects of crime prevention, despite the inherent difficulties in forming a comprehensive picture. In addition to the police and private security sector, a growing number of other parties are also working to prevent crime. These include municipal authorities, housing corporations, the business community, private individuals and neighbourhood watch groups.
