The WODC conducts research across the entire field of justice and security. The WODC does this in-house, but also supervises research that is commissioned externally. Part of the research involves long-term monitoring projects and evaluation of laws.
The programme for our research is formulated annually following consultation with the Ministry on the desirability of or need for new research. This results in the research programme (only in Dutch). Long-term projects include, for example, the Recidivism Monitor, the evaluation of Adolescent Criminal Law and the Organized Crime Monitor.
