Judges' additional jobs

Judges' additional jobs

Summary

The problem definition of this research is: what is the nature and scope of the (combined) jobs held by judges and deputy judges and to what extent is the combination of these jobs compatible with existing rules and views on performance of extra functions in addition to the standard judicial tasks? The quality of the inventory of the additional jobs corresponds directly with the question of how accurately the registers are kept by the courts of justice. The study will shed light on this, too. A literature survey was dedicated to exploring opinions on additional jobs, registers and internal regulations on the registration were analysed, and a survey was held amongst judges, focusing on the central question of whether their additional functions were registered correctly, fully and up-to-date.
