Legal assistance in criminal matters by Belgium, Germany and France with regards to the Netherlands

Summary

In this study, firstly. the existing legal framework for law enforcement cooperation between the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France is analysed. Secondly, the formal legal framework for executing requests for mutual legal assistance in Belgium, Germany and France is described. The third part of this study focuses on the organisational measures that have been taken by the police and the prosecution services in aforementioned countries. The fourth part concerns practical law enforcement cooperation during criminal investigation cases that were executed in the Netherlands, and required the assistance of Belgium, Germany or France.
