Good governance and law enforcement in Aruba

an empirical study (full text available only in Dutch)

Summary

The present study focuses on two questions:

  1. What efforts in the field of good governance (in particular as regards law enforcement and law enforcement agencies) has the Aruban government made since the conclusion of the Aruba-Netherlands Protocol of 1993? To what extent did these efforts lead to results?
  2. What are the current strong and weak points in the field of governance and law enforcement, in particular at the crossing of both, whereby good governance is necessary for adequate law enforcement?
