Airspace safety

In view of its international context, the call for safety in airspace gives rise to numerous interesting questions in the field of legislation and regulations, international treaties, jurisdiction, law enforcement and prosecution. There is a large variety of violations and crimes that can be committed, from offences committed on board airplanes to offences targeting or using airplanes. From the viewpoint of regular law enforcement, the circumstances in which air transport is taking place are unique: international borders are crossed at high speeds in a virtually isolated and vulnerable means of transport.
