Summary

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of the Commission for the Evaluation of Closed Criminal Cases (CEAS) during the first two years of its existence. The task of the CEAS is to examine, by means of an investigation whether severe shortcommings arose in the investigation, prosecution and/or presentation of evidence at a court session in a specific criminal case, which prevented the court's impartial evaluation of the case.
