Limited Liability Partnership and Limited Liability Company

Summary

In the Memorandum on the modernisation of corporate law, the Minister of Justice stated that efforts are being made to ensure that corporate law will become more usable and competitive. Amongst other things, this means that legal forms will be offered that are in line with the needs of users and that provide creditors with a reasonable degree of protection. This study focuses on the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as the Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the United States.
