By performing a literature review and meta-analyses, the aims of the current study are to 1) describe the varying types of FGC that are implemented in youth care, 2) determine the outcome measures used to examine the effectiveness of Family Group Conferencing (FGC), 3) examine whether FGC results in positive outcomes with regard to the protection of children and adolescents, and 4) determine which characteristics of the decision-making models, of the families by which the models are used, and of the studies moderate the effectiveness of FGC.
