Summary

The goal of the study is to describe the Dutch CCTV-landscape with a focus on goals, organisation, legislation, technology and financial aspects. Camera surveillance is defined in this study as 1) all cameras owned by public bodies used for surveillance, compliance enforcement or criminal investigations, plus 2) all cameras owned by private parties where police or the justice system is pro-actively involved as a partner.
