This research provides an insight into ways in which consistency and coherence of witness statements of human trafficking victims with psychological trauma can (potentially) be improved, for the purpose of improving the detection and prosecution of human trafficking offences. Seven questions underpinned this study.
For this exploratory study, semi-structured interviews were held with police officers, prosecutors, and social workers (who support human trafficking victims) in Belgium, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
