The needs of surviving relatives of murder and manslaughter victims and the help of Victim Assistance Netherlands (full text available only in Dutch)

Summary

In order to better meet the needs of surviving relatives of murder and manslaughter victims, Victim Assistance Netherlands started a new service for this specific target group in the summer of 2007. Case managers are at the centre of this new service. In this part of the two-part study the following research question is central: What are the effects of murder and manslaughter on the surving relatives of victims and to what extent do case managers meet their needs?
The other part of the study is concerned with the evaluation of the project organisation (see link at: More information).
