Internet sources in the Netherlands and Europe
The government wants to reduce crime – from drug dealing, human trafficking and cyber crime to real estate fraud and bicycle theft – by a quarter. It will ensure, for example, that the police, municipalities and intelligence services can quickly exchange descriptions of offenders, fingerprints and car registration numbers. This theme contains new, documents and publications on de the Dutch crime policy.

Security and justiceThis site is the product of a project that sought to bring together techniques developed for estimating the costs of crime. The contents of this site include some new material compiled by some of the world's leading authorities on the costs of crime and criminal justice.
mmeccThe first European Sourcebook project started in 1996. In that year the Council of Europe established a committee to prepare a compendium of crime and criminal justice data for its member states. Information was collected from 36 European countries covering the period 1990 to 1996. Two more editions appeared in 2003 and 2006 covering the years 1995-2000 and 2000-2003.
