Summary

This memorandum reports on a recidivism study that can be regarded as a follow-up to the study by Boendermaker (All’s well that ends well?). It reports on the outcome of a recidivism survey over a longer period: up to 5 years after release from the treatment facility. Chapter 2 sets out how the data were collected and which analyses were made. Chapter 3 presents the results of the recidivism measurement. Attention is paid to the prevalence and speed of reoffending, as well as the frequency and seriousness. Chapter 4 discusses the results and draws conclusions.
