The following questions are answered in this research:

1. To what extent do prisoners have identity card, income, accommodation, debts and contacts with care institutions at the time immediately preceding, immediately after and six months after the imprisonment?
2. To what extent is there a change in the problems in the different areas of life immediately preceding, immediately after and six months after the imprisonment?
3. Which social-demographic characteristics, characteristics of imprisonment and aftercare characteristics are related to the changes in the problems in the various areas of life?
