Summary
The objective of this study is to provide insight into the extent to which unsupervised periods occur between the end of pretrial detention and enforcement of the conditional hospital order, which arise because there is still a possibility for appeal to the court of appeal or Supreme Court. What is the extent to which crimes are committed during unsupervised periods? Are there possibilities within the present legal framework to prevent unsupervised periods?
